Spartans' Winning Streak Ends At Seven With Tri-Meet Split

SAN ANTONIO – In final preparation Monday for this weekend’s Western Athletic Conference championship, the San Jose State women’s swimming and diving team saw its winning streak end at seven with a split of a tri-meet with Nevada and North Dakota.
The Spartans defeated the Fighting Sioux, 44-4, but fell to Nevada 28-20 at the Palo Alto College Natatorium in San Antonio. San Jose State defeated Nevada at Stanford in October, 75-39.
The Western Athletic Conference championship begins Wednesday with preliminaries at 9 a.m. and run through Saturday.
