1. Who are some of your favorite musical artists?
Jack Johnson, Ludacris, John Legend, Usher, Lil' Wayne, Kanye West, those are just some of my favorites off the top of my list, but I like so many different artists. It just depends on my mood.
2. What are some of your favorite movies or television shows?
Movies-The Notebook, The Sweetest Thing, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Superbad, Old School, Hitch, The Holiday, The Devil Wears Prada. I don’t really watch any television shows religiously anymore, and don’t have any current favorites, but my old favorite is The O.C.
3. What is your favorite food and your favorite restaurant in San Jose?
My favorite kind of food is Italian, but my favorite restaurant in San Jose is probably P.F. Chang’s.
4. What has been your favorite class during your time at San Jose State?
I don’t know if I’ve had one favorite class that stands out, but I have enjoyed all my PR classes. They are always fun and interesting for me because they relate so closely to what I want to do with my career.
5. Who has been the most influential person in your life?
My mom, because she is one of the strongest people I know, and I am so proud of her for all she does for the people around her. She has made me into the person I am today, and has taught me so much. I don’t want to think where I'd be without her. It sounds cliche but it’s the absolute truth.
6. What are some of the things you like to do when you are away from swimming?
When I’m not swimming, I just like to relax and spend some time with my favorite people, like my closest friends and family, watch a good movie, go shopping or go to the beaches in Santa Cruz.
7. What has been the favorite place you have visited out of town, and what would be your dream vacation spot?
It’s a tie between the Bahamas and Paris. They are both beautiful places. I am dying to go to Italy one day.
8. What is your expected graduation date and what are your plans for after graduation?
I will be graduating next December and as of now, I’m not sure what exactly my plans are. I just hope to have a steady job that I enjoy, and be living with my boyfriend. I will be taking an internship this summer, so I hope to figure out more of what I want in my career through that. I also hope to travel, but I’m not sure when that will be able to happen.
9. What are your individual and team goals and expectations for the WAC Championship?
My individual goal is simply to have a blast at my last swim meet ever. If I remember it as the most fun I’ve ever had at a meet, I will be happy. Of course, I also hope to get best times in all of my races. I just want to leave the meet knowing I gave every race my all so that I have no regrets. As far as a team goal, I want everyone to make as many second swims as they can and for everyone to cheer louder than they ever have. Another goal I have is for our team to place in the top three.
10. If you could be on any reality television show, which one would it be?
None. Reality television is so ridiculous and obnoxious, even though, yes, I often get sucked into watching it. But I would NEVER even consider being on any of those shows.
11. What will Senior Day mean to you this Saturday?
Senior Day means a lot to me. It is the last dual meet of my swimming career, which is crazy to think about. I have been swimming for almost as far back as I can remember, and to think this Saturday is my last dual meet is unbelievable. It means a lot that my family will be there to support me at my last college meet because they have been to so many meets for me since I was very young. It also means a lot to share the moment with all of my teammates and fellow seniors who I have shared so much with throughout the years. Saturday will be a very emotional day, but I think it will also be very fun. All of the seniors have worked so hard and to finally be at this point, is amazing.
