San José Calif. --- The #46 San José State University women's swimming team will recognize four seniors, Ashlyn Acosta, Darcie Anderson, Taylor Curado, and Erika Harvey, on January 25 as it hosts the University of Nevada for its last home dual meet of the season.
IN THEIR LAST SHOWING:
In their last season showing against Nevada, the Spartans (7-2) had nine first place finishes in the 16-event meet race and Acosta and Anderson each won three races.
Anderson placed first in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke with times of 1:05.99 and 2:21.69 and teamed up with Acosta in the 400 medley relay, placing first with a time of 3:53.25.
Harvey also had a first place finish in the 50 free, with a time of 24.09.
ABOUT SAN JOSE STATE:
The Spartans won their seventh straight meet after defeating Cal State East Bay, 147-98 on January 18. In the 14-event meet, San José State placed first in 11 events. Seniors Darcie Anderson and Erika Harvey each had two first place finishes against the Pioneers.
Anderson's placed first in the 100 breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:05.40. She later placed first in the 200 breast with a final time of 2:20.74. She also swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay team.
Harvey had back-to-back finishes in the 50 and 100 free with times of 23.93 and 53.40, respectively.
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA:
The University of Nevada travels to Hayward, Calif. on Friday, January 24, to compete against Cal State East Bay before making their way to San José. Nevada is coming off of a 119-82 loss against UC Santa Barbara.
The meet begins at 12:00 p.m. (PT) at the Aquatics Center on the San José State campus.
