Denver, Colo.----- For the third time this season and the second week in a row, Amy Kilby of San Jose State University is the Western Athletic Conference Diver of the Week.
The senior from Oklahoma City, Okla. (Putnam City North High), had two top-10 finishes in the January 11-13 Bruin Diving Invitational hosted by UCLA at the on-campus Spieker Aquatic Complex.
Competing against more than 50 top West Coast collegiate divers, a few of whom participated in the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships or the U.S. Olympic Team trials later in the spring, Kilby finished eighth in the 1-meter and fifth in the 3-meter diving events.
Kilby was named the WAC Diver of the Week for the week ending January 6 after sweeping the 1 and 3-meter dives in dual meets at CSU Bakersfield and UC San Diego and the week ending October 28 following a dual meet victory over UC Davis.
The entire San Jose State women's swimming and diving team (6-1) takes its six-meet winning streak to the University of Nevada (3-2) for a non-conference dual meet, Saturday, January 19. The meet begins at 11:00 a.m. in the Lombardi Pool.
