Reiswig, 17th; Fonseca, 40th, In NCAA Zone Championships 1-Meter Dive

Cari Reiswig made it to the 1-meter final for the second consecutive year.

AT SAN JOSE STATE: In her third season as a Spartan... Two-time NCAA Zone E Championships competitor… Earned All-Mountain West Conference diving honors in 1-meter and 3-meter board in the 2014-15 season... Two-time Academic All-Mountain West and two-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete… In the SJSU career top-10 in the 1-meter dive (1st), 3- meter dive (1st) and platform dive (2nd)… San José State's first three-time All-Mountain West diver.

2016-17: At the Mountain West Championships she placed fourth with a score of 246.45 (career best) in the platform dive, fifth with a score of 340.85 (career best) in the 3-meter dive and eighth with a score of 292.70 (career best) in the 1-meter dive. She placed 17th with a score of 517.20 in the 1-meter finals and 21st with a score of 271.90 in the 3-meter at the NCAA Zone E Championships. First diver in SJSU history to qualify for the USA World Championship trials for the 3-meter Honored as an Academic All-Mountain West.

2015-16: Earned Scholar All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America… Placed fifth in the 3-meter with a score of 317.20 and 14th in the platform dive with a score of 224.75 at the Mountain West Championships… 14th in the 3-meter and 16th in the 1-meter at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.

2014-15: Placed fourth in the 1-meter dive with a score of 284.15, fifth in the 3- meter dive with a score of 281.20 and 23rd in the platform dive with a score of 139.75 at the Mountain West Championships… Placed 35th in the 1-meter and 43rd in the 3-meter at the 2015 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.


CALIFORNIA VIRTUAL ACADEMIES: Quickly became one of the top divers in Northern California ... Earned the Northern California "Diver of the Year" runner-up for 2013 ... 1-meter champion and finished fourth at the 2013 Far Western Diving Championships in Santa Clara, Calif. ... Placed third in the 1-meter competition at the USA Region 10 Championships in Tualatin, Ore. ...Level 10 gymnast who turned to diving in 2012 ... 2009 Nor-Cal State Gymnastics champion in the floor exercise and second in the all-around and a Level 9 Western Championship ...
