There were several repeat winners at the annual women's swimming & diving team's awards banquet.

Colleen Humel finishes fifth in he 200 back and Cari Reiswig was fourth in platform diving.

The Spartans had six first-place finishes out of 16 events for the second consecutive week.


Women's Swimming & Diving Honored Nationally For Team Academic Performance

For the eighth consecutive semester, San Jose State is honored by the CSCAA.

AT SJSU: In her fourth season with the Spartans... Honored as a 2014 and 2016 Academic All-Mountain West… Listed on the Spartans All-Time Top-Ten Best Marks...Tenth in the 500 free (5:01.94)…Eighth in the 1,000 free (10:24.30).

2016-17: At the Mountain West Championships she finished 13th with a time of 17:05.62 in the 1650 free and 21st with a time of 4:27.86 in the 400 individual medley (career best and #7 on the top-ten list)… In the preliminaries she finished 27th with a time of 5:01.97 in the 500 free.

2015-16: Her best times at the Mountain West Championships include 4:32.99 (19th) in the 400 individual medley, 5:01.94 (24th) in the 500 free, and 17:12.17 (17th) in the 1650 free.

2014-15: Swam her best times of the season at the Mountain West Championships… Posted times of 4:35.91 in the 400 medley, 5:05.86 in the 500 free and 17:19.04 in the 1650 free.

 Her best times at the Mountain West Championships include 17:27.88 (21st) in the 1650 free and 4:35.76 (24th) in the 400 individual medley… Finished second against UCSD and Incarnate Word in the 1000 free with a time of 10:31.12.  

WOODCREEK HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate from Woodcreek High in Roseville, Calif. (Coach Scott Marchetti)... Went to sections all four years... Placed fourth in the 500 free at CIF Sac Joaquin Section Championship during the 2012-13 season... A two-time high school All-League honoree.
