Ervin & Hibbs Are Student-Athletes Of The Month For September

Sara Hibbs and Tyler Ervin led their teams to victory over the rival Fresno State in the same week.


Two Sand Pairs Victorious At Sacramento State Tournament

Meehan and Hirai needed three sets for the win, while Hibbs and Rosado won in straight sets.

First season at San José State.

2015 SAND: Finished with a 4-12 record on the season...played mostly in the number-four position...paired with Julie Sam for the first sand victory in school history -- three set win over a pair from California in early March...played with Sam for three matches, Breann Robinson for one match, Samantha Pereira for three matches and Yavianliz Rosado for the final eight matches of the season...won three matches with Rosado at the number-four position.

HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter at Bella Vista High School for head coach Zara Bundenbender...three-time All-Capital Valley Conference honoree...senior team finished second in the conference...junior year team reached semifinals of CIF Sac-Joaquin Sectional...recorded 564 kills and 222 blocks during her career...played club for Northern California Volleyball Club for coach Jeff Deter...the 18-Moxie team finished 19th in the Open Division at the 2014 USA Junior National Championships...her 17-Black team finished 22nd in the Open Division of the 2013 USA Junior Nationals...16-1 team finished fifth in the American Division at the 2012 USA Junior Nationals.
