Spartans Ink Largest Class In Over A Decade

Dec. 14, 2017

San Jose, Calif. – San José State softball Head Coach Peter Turner announced the signing of the largest class in his 12-year tenure. Nine student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to compete for the Spartans beginning in the 2018-19 school year.

“By far this is the best blue-chip recruiting class I have ever had,” said Turner. “Every year we get batter and better recruiting classes, but this group is deep in talent. They have multiple skill sets, and will make a meaningful impact on this program from the day they set foot in our facility.”

The nine student-athletes include six position players and three pitchers who can also play in the field.
