San Jose-Allison Lang, Jordan Sauceda and Marissa Toy have signed National Letters-of-Intent to compete for the San Jose State softball team beginning with the 2011-12 school year, as announced by Spartan head coach Peter Turner.
Lang, a pitcher from Fountain Valley High School, was a first team All-Sunset League honoree last year. She is a three-year letterwinner in softball and also lettered three-years on her high school volleyball team.
Sauceda, a pitcher/utility player at Colony High School is Ontario, Calif., helped lead her team to its first-ever Mt.Baldy League Championship in 2010. She was the league's Most Valuable Player and a third team All-Valley selection last year and is a three-time first team all-league selection. In 132 innings pitched, Sauceda had a 1.40 ERA with 118 strikeouts last season. From the plate, she hit .439 and had a .695 slugging percentage. A true Scholar Athlete, Sauceda has maintained a 4.0 grade point average in high school and is a three-year Scholar Athlete recipient.
Toy, an infielder from Oakdale High School, was a first team All-Valley Oak League and all-district honoree in 2010. She hit .423 last season with a .511 on-base percentage and helped lead her team to back-to-back VOL Championships in 2009 and 2010.
