Pridmore Named To All-Tournament Team

Las Cruces, N.M.-San Jose State softball pitcher Amanda Pridmore has been named to the all-tournament team at the 2012 Western Athletic Conference Softball Tournament.


Pridmore, a junior from Modesto, pitched 21 innings at the tournament for the Spartans with a 1-2 record.  She struck out a career-best 13 batters in a 9-6 win over Nevada in the first game of the tournament.  Pridmore struck out seven Hawaii batters and six Fresno State batters to finish the tournament with 26 strikeouts. 


For the season, Pridmore finished with an 18-15 overall record in 209 inningspitched.  She is only second pitcher in school history to strikeout 200 or more batters in a season with 201 strikeouts. 


Pridmore also became the San Jose State career saves leader in March.  She ended the year with three saves and has 10 in her three-year career.
