Pridmore Now Five-Time WAC Pitcher of the Week

Amanda Pridmore was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 29 - May 5. This is the fifth honor for Pridmore this season and the sixth of her career.

Pridmore pitched every inning of all three games last weekend against New Mexico State, leading the Spartans to the series sweep over the previously first-place Aggies. This gave San Jose State its first-ever WAC regular-season title and the top seed in the WAC Tournament. Pridmore went 3-0 with a 1.27 ERA and 19 strikeouts over 22 innings. During the series, Pridmore became San Jose State’s career wins leader (70), single-season wins leader (26) and single-season strikeout leader (238). She also led the Spartans to the program record for wins in a season (39).

#1-San Jose State opens the WAC Tournament in Ruston, La., on Thursday, May 9 at 9:30 a.m. (PDT). They face the winner of a game between #4-Texas State and #5-UTSA.
