Pridmore Pitcher of the Week For Fourth Time

Amanda Pridmore was named the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 15-21. It is Pridmore's fourth honor of the season and the fifth of her career.

Pridmore went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 14 strikeouts last week as the Spartans swept its series against UT Arlington. She opened the week with a complete-game victory over the Mavericks, striking out 11 over 14 innings and tying the San Jose State record for innings pitched in a game. It was the eighth game this season in which Pridmore struck out eight or more batters.

In the series finale, she threw three innings in relief to pick up the win, allowing one hit and striking out three. For the week, Pridmore held opponents to a .158 batting average.

San Jose State heads to San Marcos, Texas, to face the Texas State Bobcats for its final road WAC series of the year for a doubleheader on Friday, April 26 at 2:00 p.m. (PDT) and a game on April 27 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT).
