Wolfe had the team's only hit in the first game, a single to right center in the second inning. In the second game, she led off the third inning with a single to right field and the fifth inning with a single to right field.
Garcia drove in the two Spartans runs in the game two with a single towards the first base and rolled down the right field line. Scoring on the hit were Wolfe and Britney Helm to give San Jose State the 2-0 lead.
Fresno State made in close in the seventh inning as Michelle Moses led off the inning with a solo home run to left field. However, the Bulldogs the flied out two and struck out swinging to end the game.
Spartan pitcher Amanda Pridmore pitched two complete games on the day. She is now 13-9 on the season. Pridmore struck out eight Bulldogs in the first game and followed that with three strikeouts in game two.
"These were two hard-fought games played by two strong teams," said Spartan head coach Peter Turner. "Each game came down to who had the key hit. Fresno had it in the first game, and we got it in the second game. Both teams played hard in the two games."
San Jose State hosts #15 Stanford this Tuesday, April 17, for a single game beginning at 4 p.m., at SJSU Field. The Spartans then go on the road for a WAC series at Utah State next Friday and Saturday.
