After a conference opening sweep of the Boise State Broncos on SJSU Field, the San José State softball team makes its first road trip of the 2015 Mountain West schedule when it visits Fresno State for three games this weekend.

At the beginning of the week Spartans three-four-five hitters Jessie Hufstetler (Jr., INF, Atascadero, Calif.), Sharon-Renae Estrada (Sr., 3B, san Bernardino, Calif.) & Alyssa Martinez (Jr., SS, Wasco, Calif.) ranked one-two-three in RBI in the MW with a combined 119 runs batted in. Hufstetler has 52, Estrada 35 and Martinez 32.

SENIOR FISH OFF TO HER BEST START
Madison Fish (Sr., RHP, Sacramento, Calif.) is 11-3 in 16 appearances and 12 starts in 2015. She has passed her previous season best of eight wins from 2014. In 70.0 innings she has struck out 57 batter and thrown four complete games.

LANG TAKES THE BALL
Allison Lang (Sr., RHP, Fountain Valley, Calif.) has a 7-5 record, four saves and a 3.11 ERA in 22 appearances and 16 starts this year. San José State had faced six top-25 teams this year and Lang has taken the ball in five of those contests. She started against #14 Arizona, #18 California, #1 Florida, #3 Michigan and #15 Baylor and earned the decision in four of those games.
