2018: Appeared in 19 games with 10 starts all behind the plate…batted .286 (8-for-28), with five runs and 10 RBIs…had an on base percentage of .444 and slugged .500…slammed one homer, a grand slam against South Dakota (2/8)…scored a season best two runs versus South Dakota…against Mississippi State had a season-high four plate appearances…had two hits against San Diego State (3/18), her high for the year…rapped out three doubles – vs. UTEP (2/11), and at Colorado State on 4/20 & 4/21…collected seven walks with a single game high of two against South Dakota and UTEP…defensively had 23 putouts and four assists with zero errors. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of North Appleton (Wis.) High School…a four-year starter (coach Mike Mullen)…four-time All-Fox Valley Conference selection…chosen as team captain in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons…in four years, never slugged less than .600, batted under .400 or drove in less than 18 runs in a season…as a junior slugged a career-high .700…as a sophomore hit a single season high .468 and as a senior drove in 28 run, the best of her high school career…following her junior year was an honorable mention All-State selection…a four-year starter in basketball.
GRACE: Majoring in kinesiology…hopes to pursue a career in physical therapy…played club ball for the BATS Academy (coaches Kyle Knoblauch & Bill Huss)…the daughter of Sheree and Don Garvey…Grace Mary Garvey is a native of Appleton, Wis.
