Spartans lost to #5 UCLA and Cal State Fullerton on Saturday in the Los Angeles Regional of the 2017 NCAA Divsion I Sofball Championship.

2017: Made three starts in 11 total appearances…compiled a 2-1 record with a 7.27 ERA in 17.1 innings of work…allowed 31 hits and 18 runs, all earned…struck out two and walked 17…starts came against Utah (2/10), Portland State (2/24) and Seton Hall (3/9)…tossed 2.1 innings of two-hit relief vs. UC Riverside (2/11) to earn her first win of the season…second victory, 3.2 innings of four-hit, shut out ball, was in a start against Portland State…strikeouts came against Utah and vs. McNeese State (3/3)…team won two of her three starts…recorded one putout and three assists. 2016: Made 23 appearances with seven starts…compiled a 3-3 record and 3.58 ERA in 58.2 innings of work…led the team with two saves…allowed 61 hits and 30 earned runs…struck out 35 and walked 34…struck out a season-best five at Colorado State (4/4)…pitched 1.1 innings with out allowing a hit to earn her first save as Spartans against UNLV (3/29)…against Utah State (4/10), closed out the series sweep with 2.2 innings of shutout work to earn her second save of the year…wins came against Illinois (3/19), UNLV (3/30) and at Nevada (4/24)…opponents hit .274, the lowest on the staff and was sixth in the Mountian West...also ranked in the top-10 in the conference in ERA (5th), saves (3rd), relief appearances (7th) and games finished (6th). SAINT JOSEPH'S UNIVERSITY: Attended and competed for the Hawks (coach Terri Adams) 2014...compiled a 2-3 record with a 3.48 ERA in 51.0 innings...earned nine starts among 20 appearances...led the team and was third in the Atlantic 10 Conference with three saves.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Corona (Calif.) High School...a four-year letterwinner (coach JoAnn Byrd)...named to the All-Hemet Tournament Team as a senior...earned first-team All-Big 8 League honors as a junior and academic honors as freshman.

EMILY: Majoring in marketing...wants to pursue a career in marketing upon graduation...played club ball for California Lite (coaches Pam Newton)...the daughter of Anita and John Rogers...a native of Corona, Calif., Emily Anne Rogers was born November 13, 1995.
