Senior Anissa Pinedo drove in three of the five Spartan Runs
The Spartans have broken three offensive records this year and are eyeing four more this weekend.
With the win, San José State improves its record against Nevada in Reno to 12-5.
Katelyn Linford pitched six innings allowing just three hits and earned her fifth win of the season.
Spartans scored six times in the seventh to blow open a 3-2 game.
2016: Made 22 starts in 34 total appearances…batted .306 (19-for-62) with 20 RBIs 12 walks and five runs scored…made 18 starts at third base and four as designated player…on base percentage was .408 and slugged .435…had four extra base hits, including home runs against Bethune-Cookman (2/25), her first as a Spartan, and versus UC Santa Barbara (3/18)…doubles came against Colgate (3/17) and UNLV (3/29)…had four multi-RBI games…twice drove in four runs – versus Bethune-Cookman and UC Santa Barbara…collected three RBI in a game twice – versus UNLV and New Mexico (5/14)…had four multi-hit games including a single game high three hits against Bethune-Cookman…walked three times against Oregon State (2/12)…enjoyed two four-game hitting streaks…went 16-for-36 (.444) with runners on, .429 (12-for-28) with runners in scoring position and was successful at a .643 clip (27-for-42) in advancing runners. 2015: Made 12 starts in 28 total appearances...batted .381 (16-for-42), drove in seven and scored three runs...slugged .452 and had an on base percentage of .451...belted a season-high three hits (3-for-4), drove in two and scored versus Nevada (5/3)...also scored against Portland State (2/7) and Nevada (5/2)...four of her seven RBIs came in the Nevada series (5/1-5/3)...collected three extra-base hits, all doubles, vs. Wright State (2/13), Colorado State (4/4) and Nevada (5/3)...hit .462 as a pinch hitter, .389 with runners in scoring position and .667 with a runner on third and less than two outs...seven starts were at designated player and five came at second base. HIGH SCHOOL: A 2012 graduate of Bonita Vista High School in Chula Vista, Calif....a four-year letterwinner (coach John Carlson)...as a senior was a member of the 2013 CIF Division I Championship team that went 25-3-1...batted .400 with a .644 slugging percentage that year...among her honors were three consecutive team defensive MVP selections, first-team All-Mesa League, second-team All-San Diego Section, a team offensive MVP and four consecutive school honor roll awards.
