Women's Soccer falls at Nevada, 4-3

Reno, Nev.-- The San Jose State University women's soccer team could not hold a 2-0 lead, as the University of Nevada came back to beat the Spartans, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at Reno.

The Spartans' (3-11-3 overall, 1-2-2 WAC) jumped ahead of the Wolf Pack early in the first half with a 7th minute goal by Jessica Hernandez. San Jose State's Alyson Ratzburg gave her team a two-goal advantage with her goal at the 25th-minute of the opening half.

Nevada (4-12-0 overall, 1-4-0 WAC), after giving up the first two goals of the game, then scored four out of the games next five goals for the victory.

The Wolf Pack tied the Spartans in the 48th minute with a goal from Kaula Rowe. The Spartans' Rebecca Hidalgo tried to give her team the win with a goal in the 60th minute, momentarily giving San Jose State a 3-2 advantage. The goal for Hildalgo was her third score in the team's last two games. The Wolf Pack would rally quickly, however, scoring in the 74th and 76th minute securing the victory.

San Jose State's next game is Thursday, Oct. 24, at Fresno State. Game time for the WAC match up with the Bulldogs is scheduled for.
