Women's soccer falls, 5-1, to Pacific

Stockton, Calif.-- The University of Pacific Tigers dominated the San Jose State University women's soccer team beating the Spartans 5-1 Friday night at Stagg Memorial Staduim.

With the win the Pacific remains undefeated at 5-0, and San Jose State falls to 1-3 on the year.

Pacific's Gabby Olivares scored twice for the Tigers, both goals came in the second half.

The Spartans lone goal came at 79:30 of the second half when Rebecca Hildago headed in a free kick off the foot of Jessica Hernandez.

San Jose State was under constant pressure the whole night, especially in the second have when goalie Erin Lavey recorded eight of her ten saves.

The Spartans return home Sunday September 15 when the host the undefeated Washington State Cougars. Game time for the match up is 12:00 at Spartan Stadium.
