Denver, Colo. - The Western Athletic Conference, in conjunction with its website partner, JumpTV Sports, has announced it will stream all of the matches of the 2009 WAC Women's Soccer Tournament. Viewers can sign up by visiting www.WAC.tv.
The tournament will be held in Boise, Idaho, November 5-8, and will feature the top six teams in the WAC. Two first-round matches will be played on Thursday, November 5, with the winners moving on to face the top two seeds in the semifinals the next day, Friday, November 6. The title game will be played at 12:00 p.m. (PT) on Sunday, November 8, with the winner once again earning the WAC's automatic berth into the NCAA Championship.
San Jose State, currently on a school-record 13-game unbeaten streak, the third-longest nationally in the NCAA Division I, booked its spot in a a fifth straight WAC Tournament last Friday night, October 23. Head coach Jeff Leightman and his Spartans are now in search of a first-ever regular-season WAC crown, as well as a first-day bye in Boise as one of the top two seeds.
All five matches can be seen on WAC.tv by accessing the soccer tournament package for a one-time price of $10.95.
