Women's soccer drops 1-0 decision to Tulsa

San Jose, Calif.-----Susan Day scored the only goal of the game at 35:11 of the first half as the University of Tulsa defeated San Jose State University, 1-0, in a Western Athletic Conference women’s soccer match.

Day took a pass from Carrie Schnarre in front of Spartan goalkeeper Erin Lavey and placed a grounder into the San Jose State net. The goal was Day’s second of the season.

Tulsa goalkeeper Pam Devore was credited with three saves in the shutout win. The Golden Hurricane (5-11-1, 2-6 WAC) ended a two-game losing streak.

San Jose State (2-15-0, 1-7 WAC) lost its sixth straight game.
