Women's Soccer: SMU defeats Spartans, 4-0

    DALLAS, Texas - SMU scored three second-half goals to put away to a 4-0 win over San Jose State University Sunday in a Western Athletic Conference women's soccer game.

    The Spartans slipped to 2-3-1 in WAC games, 6-11-1 overall.

    SMU took a 1-0 lead at the 33:58 mark on Sara Shackelford's goal. Misty Noland, Kim Harvey and Lorrie Tipton each added a goal in the second half for the Mustangs (5-0 WAC, 12-3 overall).

    San Jose State returns home Friday for a 7:30 p.m. WAC contest against Fresno State at Spartan Stadium. The game is the final home contest of the season for the Spartans.
