Women's Soccer: Spartans Drop 3-1 Decision to TCU

    FORT WORTH, Texas -- San Jose State held a 1-0 throughout most of the first half, but TCU tied the score just before halftime and went on to post a 3-1 victory over the Spartans in a Western Athletic Conference women's soccer game Friday.

    Kristina Jacob scored just 2:20 into the game on an assist from Jeane Sunseri to put the Spartans in front 1-0. The goal was the fourth of the season for Jacob. The lead held until there were just 20 seconds left in the first half, when TCU's Sherry Dick scored on a header to knot the score.

    Crystal Pratz gave TCU a 2-1 lead at the 70:17 mark and Dick scored her second goal of the game 15 minutes later to ice the win.

    San Jose State now stands at 2-2-1 in WAC games, 6-10-1 overall. The Spartans are in Dallas, Texas on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. (CT) game against SMU.
