6 Jeani Sunseri

SJSU: In her second season at San Jose State. Jean Sunseri played in 19 games and started five times last season. She scored a goal and had an assist in an 8-1 win over Nevada on Oct. 1, scored a goal in a 2-1 win over UTEP on Oct. 6, and assisted on the only goal in a 3-1 loss at TCU on Oct. 13.

HIGH SCHOOL: Sunseri is a graduate of Leland High School in San Jose. She was a four-year letterwinner in soccer and softball and lettered two years in field hockey. In soccer she was named the top freshman, was the most valuable offensive player her sophomore season, and was the team’s “Most Valuable Player” her senior year. She was a second team all-league choice as a sophomore and junior, and was a first team all-league pick as a senior.

PERSONAL: Jean Marie Sunseri was born Aug. 13, 1982, in San Jose. Her parents are Mike and Judy Sunseri. She has four brothers and sisters – Jon-Pierre (25), Christopher (23), Andr (22) and Arlette (21). She is majoring in dance.
