7 Kristina Jacob

SJSU: In her fourth season at San Jose State. Kristina Jacob started 22 games last season. She scored five goals and had two assists. She scored a goal in the WAC Tournament championship game against Tulsa and had an assist in the WAC tournament opener against UTEP. Jacob was named to the all-WAC Tournament team and was selected as the tournament’s “Most Valuable Player.” She scored two goals in the season opener against Oregon and one goal at Hawai’i and at TCU. She was named San Jose State’s Offensive Player of the Year. 1999: Jacob played in 15 matches and started seven. She scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Sacramento State and recorded goals against Kent State and Tulsa. 1998: Jacob played in 21 games and recorded one assist against Fresno State. She was voted the Spartan “Freshman of the Year”.

HIGH SCHOOL: Jacob graduated from Leland High School. She was named the league's “Most Valuable Defender” her senior year. She was named to the San Jose Mercury News first team.

PERSONAL: Kristina Rose Jacob was born on June 6, 1980, in Boston, Mass. Her parents are Chris and Irene Jacob. She has a sister, Nicole (19), and a brother, Michael (11). She is majoring in kinesiology. She enjoys bodyboarding and watching movies.
