23 Trisha Forni

SJSU: In her third season at San Jose State. Trisha Forni played in 11 games and started five times in 2000. She allowed 11 goals (1.81 GAA) and tallied 28 assists. She had a shutout against Cal Poly on Aug. 29 and combined on a shutout of Oregon State on Sept. 13. 1999: Forni played in two matches in 1999 before declaring a redshirt season. She recorded four saves and allowed two goals.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Forni played one season at Cypress College in Cypress, Calif. and helped lead her team to a state championship.

HIGH SCHOOL: Forni was a four-year letterwinner in soccer at Marina High School in Huntington Beach, Calif. She was named the league’s Defensive “Most Valuable Player” her senior year and received all-league, all-district and all-state honors. She also lettered in basketball and track.

PERSONAL: Trisha Rena Forni was born on Nov. 14, 1979, in Carlsbad, N.M. Her parents are Tom Forni and Susan Forni and her stepmother is Pam Forni. She has five brothers and sisters – Wes (24), Daniel (21), Olivia (23), Ariel (17) and Andrew (13). She is a criminal justice administration major, is an SJSU Scholar-Athlete and was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic team in 2000. Her favorite activities include skateboarding and surfing.
