16 Cynthia Harrah (Har-uh)

SJSU: Third season at San Jose State. Cynthia Harrah played in 19 games and started 13 times last year. She scored a goal in an 8-1 win over Nevada on Oct. 1, and assisted on the game-winning goal in a 4-2 win over SMU at the conference tournament. She was named San Jose State’s “Freshman of the Year” and received the team’s “Circuit Award.”

HIGH SCHOOL: Harrah graduated from Central East High School in Fresno, Calif. She was a four-year player on the varsity soccer team and was twice named second team all-league. She also played softball for four years, including three years on the varsity team.

PERSONAL: Cynthia Rae Harrah was born on Feb. 19, 1981, in Fresno, Calif. Her parents are Joseph and Jovita Harrah. She has two sisters, Felicia (30) and Leslie (24), and a brother, Joe (18). She is majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology. She is an SJSU Scholar-Athlete and was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-academic team in 2000. Her favorite activities include drawing, music, writing and talking.
Harrah redshirted in 1999.
