15 Ryanne Banks

SJSU: In her fourth season at San Jose State. Ryanne Banks redshirted last season. In 1999, Banks played in nine matches and did not record any offensive statistics. In 1998, she started eight of 11 games and appeared in two WAC contests.
UC SANTA BARBARA: Banks played at UCSB in 1997. Her lone goal was a game-winner against Cal State Northridge.
HIGH SCHOOL: Banks attended Holy Names High School in Oakland, Calif. She was a four-time all-league selection in soccer and track.
PERSONAL: Born Ryanne Theresa Banks on June 15, 1979, in Berkeley, Calif. Her parents are Michael Banks and Lones Stern-Banks. She has two brothers, Brandon (25), who played football at Saint Mary’s College, and Connor (21), a football player at Arizona State. She is majoring in social work and is an SJSU Scholar-Athlete. In July she was named an “Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar for 2001” by Black Issues in Higher Education. In May she was San Jose State’s representative at the NCAA
