25 Annemarie Hennes

SJSU: In her first season at San Jose State.

ILLINOIS: Annemarie Hennes played three seasons at the University of Illinois. Last year she played in 10 games and started seven times. She recorded 33 saves and allowed 12 goals (1.54 GAA). Hennes had two solo shutouts and three combined shutouts during the season. She sat out the 1999 season after shoulder surgery. Hennes missed all but one game during the 1998 season with a shoulder injury. She did not allow a goal in seven minutes played. Hennes was a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honors recipient.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterwinner in soccer at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Ind., Hennes holds the school record for most consecutive minutes (315) without giving up a goal. She has a high school career goals against average (GAA) of 0.98. She was an all-area selection in 1996 and 1997 by the Hammond Times and the Gary Post-Tribune. She was named to the all-district team three times and was an all-state pick in 1995. Hennes was also a member of the Indiana ODP state select team. She also lettered twice in softball and basketball.

PERSONAL: Annemarie Jean Hennes was born on March 27, 1980, in Chicago Heights, Ill. Her parents are Jim and Carolyn Hennes. She has a sister, Danielle (19), and two brothers, Jim (15) and Jonathan (7). Her major is sports psychology with a minor in kinesiology. Her favorite activities include snowboarding, mountain biking, coaching, basketball and traveling.
