Cal Defeats Women's Soccer 4-0 in First Game of Adidas Bay Area Classic

    SAN JOSE - Laura Schott scored two goals to lead California to a 4-0 victory over San Jose State in the first game of the adidas Bay Area Classic womens soccer tournament at Spartan Stadium.

    Schott scored just 1:26 into the game on a penalty kick. She scored the final goal of the game at the 66:24 mark

    Kim Yokers gave the Golden Bears a 2-0 lead at the 18:45 mark. She scored from seven yards out on the right side.

    Natalie Stuhlmueller put Cal in front 3-0 with her unassisted goal 3:50 into the second half.

    Cal improved to 8-0 overall, while San Jose slipped to 4-6. On Sunday, San Jose State will play Stanford at 12:00 p.m., with Cal taking on Santa Clara at 3:00 p.m. Both games will be at Spartan Stadium.
