Women's soccer hosts USF, plays at Sacramento State

The San Jose State University women's soccer team plays twice in the week ahead, still looking for its first win of 2005 at 0-7-1. San Jose State plays host to San Francisco (1-7) on Friday, September 23, at Spartan Field beginning at 4:00 p.m., before traveling to Sacramento State (2-3-1) on Sunday, September 25.

San Francisco is coming off a 4-2 loss to Weber State in Ogden, Utah, on September 17. USF has been outscored, 17-4, in five straight losses. The Dons lead the all-time series, 6-2, and have won in each of the last four seasons.

Sacramento State is in the midst of a 12-day layoff since a scoreless draw against Mississippi State in El Paso, Texas, on September 11. The teams have met once each year since San Jose State’s inaugural women’s soccer season of 1995, with the Spartans holding a 5-4-1 series edge overall. They have gone 2-2-1 in Sacramento, Calif.
