Stockton, Calif.-----Carmen Padilla scored once in each half and assisted on the game’s first goal leading the University of the Pacific to a 4-2 victory over San Jose State University in a non-conference women’s soccer match.

"We are playing good soccer. We are competitive and stay in the game, but we make critical mistakes in the field," said San Jose State coach Dave Siracusa following the match. "We seem to play better when we’re behind. We attack more and grab the game by the throat. We’ve got to start doing that when the game is 0-0."

Pacific outshot San Jose State,17-11. Adrienne Herbst had a busy afternoon minding the Spartans’ goal and was credited with eight saves.

San Jose State, which has lost four in a row, returns to action, Friday, September 24, when it hosts CS Sacramento on the Spartan Soccer Field at 3:00 p.m. in a non-conference game.
