Reno, Nev.-----San Jose State ended Day 2 of the Wolf Pack Invitational with a bang, exploding for a season-best four goals in a 4-1 rout over Idaho State.  The win extended the Spartans' unbeaten streak to four games.

San Jose State started off early scoring within minutes when senior Katie Knopp re-directed a cross from sophomore Kelsey Lord inside the box.  Knopp powered one through 6 yards out for her second goal of the season. The Spartans continued their offensive pressure, testing the Bengals' goalkeeper, Bailey Williams with five shots on goal in the first half.

The Spartans controlled the pace of the second with three goals. In minute 54, junior Lauren Sanchez took a header off of Lord's corner kick, knocking one past goalkeeper Bailey Williams.  The Bengals came back in minute 60 when senior Lauren Hough sent a ball over to freshman Kiley Godfrey, who crossed it into the top left corner and into the goal.  Less than one minute later the Spartans retaliated with a 51-yard free kick that made its way in the Bengals' goal.  Junior Jessica Ingram was credited with the goal, her second of the year.

Finishing off the scoring, freshman Megan Molina collected a rebound in the box and tipped it in 10 yards out in the 76:45 mark.

Spartan goalkeeper Meghan Maiwald picked up the win, her fourth of the year.

San Jose State travels back home, hosting Saint Mary's on Sunday, September 26 at 5:00 p.m.
