Women's Soccer Adds Jenkins To Complete Staff

San Jose, Calif. - San Jose State University women’s soccer head coach Dave Siracusa has announced the addition of Jeff Jenkins to his staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Jenkins will primarily assist the Spartans with on-field coaching and video analysis.

In addition, Jenkins is currently the head coach of the Santa Clara Sporting 91 boy’s U16 team, which won this year’s CYSA-North State Cup title and was a semifinalist at the US Youth Soccer Regional Championships, held in Las Vegas, Nev. He also coaches various age-group teams at the Mid-Peninsula Strikers Soccer Club, based in Menlo Park, Calif.

Since 2005, Jenkins has been an Olympic Development Program (ODP) head coach and a coaching instructor for the California Youth Soccer Association, based in Pleasanton, Calif. With ODP, his responsibilities have consisted of evaluating the top players in Northern California for selection to the state ODP team in conjunction with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).

A native of Costa Rica, Jenkins holds a USSF National “B” coaching license, as well as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Advanced National diploma. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Mountain View, Calif., with their daughter, Mia.

Jenkins joins a Spartan staff that includes second-year assistant coaches Craig Winans and Adrienne Herbst under Siracusa in his fourth year in charge.
