Blog Entry #4 (Thursday, September 17)

The Spartans are gearing up to play UC Davis Friday. This past weekend on our trip back east, we brought home two wins. It was a total success...and a major confidence booster. As a team, we put away 12 goals, achieved our first shutout, and came home with Roxy Kamal as the WAC Offensive Player of the Week with two goals and three assists. After coming off two tough losses the prior weekend at the USF tournament, this trip developed a winning mentality that we are ready to continue and execute from here on out. This is a strong, hard-working, dedicated group of girls. Each and every player builds to the success of the team. UC Davis is a good team with a good record so far under their belt. We are pumped to play them. It will be a great game Friday!
