Santos Earns Second WAC Defensive Player Of The Week

Denver, Colo. - San Jose State University’s Jordan-Michelle Santos, a freshman goalkeeper from Cypress, Calif. (Los Alamitos HS), was named the Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 8-14.

Santos recorded her third collegiate shutout after a 1-0 overtime victory over Sacramento State on Sunday, September 14. She played all 93:13 minutes in the win and recorded two saves on 12 shots.

Santos, now boasts a 1.55 goals against average. She is also tied for first in the WAC with a 5.33 saves per game average. It is her second Player of the Week honor of the season.  She was awarded Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 1.

Hawaii senior Taryn Fukuroku was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Week.
