USF tops women's soccer, 8-0

San Francisco, Calif.-----Ashley Davies and Shuree Hyatt each scored two goals as the University of San Francisco shutout San Jose State University, 8-0, in a non-conference women’s soccer match.

The Dons (3-2) scored five goals within the first 30 minutes of the match and eventually outshot the Spartans (1-4), 26-2. Molly Flanagan had the only two shots for San Jose State.

Hyatt, who scored the first goal of the match at 2:58 and her second at 29:40, added a pair of assists. Taking advantage of being one player up, USF scored six goals after Andrea Puljiz was issued a red card at 20:00.

The Spartans take on UC Riverside, in an attempt to end their four-game losing streak, Monday, September 15, at the San Jose State Soccer Field, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
