Portland shuts out women's soccer, 4-0

San Jose, Calif.-----The University of Portland scored three second-half goals to pull away from San Jose State University and post a 4-0 women’s soccer non-conference victory.

The Pilots completed a sweep of its Northern California road trip dominating play the entire contest. Portland (3-1) outshot San Jose State, 19-2. Midfielder Lindsey Huie, who had eight shots, assisted on the first goal and scored the game’s second goal at 54:40, took four times as many shots as the entire Spartan team.

Elsa Hume opened the scoring at 26:55 for Portland. Goals by Wanda Rozwadowska and Kari Evans closed out the scoring.

Cori Alexander recorded her third shutout of the season and second in three days. She made her only save in the first half.

San Jose State (1-3) has lost three in a row.
