Women's soccer looks for first 2005 win

The San Jose State University women's soccer team kicks off a season-long four-game homestand with a pair of matches this week.

The Spartans, looking for their first win of 2005 at 0-5, first host three-time defending Big West Conference champion Cal Poly at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, at Spartan Field. The Mustangs were an NCAA Tournament participant in 2004, and head into this week's action with a 3-0-1 record and a No. 21 national ranking.

San Jose State will then host Pacific (2-1-1), also at Spartan Field, on Sunday, September 11, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Admission will not be charged at home soccer games at Spartan Field during the 200 season.
