San Jose State University women's soccer posts 3-0 win over Oregon

Jennifer Mescher and Molly Cowell scored first half goals and Karli Silveira added a late second half score as the San Jose State University women's soccer team won its first game of the season, 3-0, over the University of Oregon in a non-conference match.

Julie Brum assisted on both first half goals as the Spartans evened their record at 1-1. Momi Aiu and Jackie Ostdiek also were credited with assists.

Goalkeeper Amee Brown had five saves, four early in the second half, to post her sixth career shutout.

Oregon dropped to 1-1 on the season.

San Jose State returns to action September 1 hosting USF in a 7:30 p.m. at Spartan Stadium.
