Soccer teams in August 26 doubleheader action at Spartan Stadium

San Jose, Calif. – The San Jose State University men’s and women’s soccer teams are both in action for the first time inside Spartan Stadium in 2005 on Friday, August 26. The Spartan men host 2004 NCAA Division III national runner-up UC Santa Cruz in an exhibition beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by the women’s regular season opener between San Jose State and non-conference foe UC Irvine, at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The Spartan women’s team topped Sonoma State, 1-0 in overtime, in exhibition action at Spartan Field last Friday afternoon.

The men’s team will kick off its regular season next Thursday night, September 1, with a 7:00 p.m. contest against Stanford University at Spartan Stadium.

Combined admission for the doubleheader is $5.00 for the general public and $3.00 for youth 12-years-old and under and seniors 65 and over.
