Women's Soccer Set To Tackle Spring Tune-ups

San Jose, Calif. - San Jose State University women's soccer head coach Jeff Leightman has announced a six-game spring schedule that includes the annual Alumni Game. 

Leightman's reigning WAC champs will play the entire schedule in the month of April, with two of the tune-ups in San Jose. The schedule features matches against area rivals St. Mary's, Cal and Santa Clara.

The Spartans kick off the spring in Stanford with two morning games starting at 10:30am, on Saturday, April 10th against both St. Mary's and Cal.  If the Spartans advance, they will play again at 2:00 p.m.   The Alumni game will be held on Saturday, April 17, at noon in San Jose with the location yet to be determined.  On Sunday, April 18, the Spartans travel up the Alameda to Santa Clara to take on the Broncos at 2:00 p.m.  On Saturday, April 24, the Spartans will battle Chico State in Pleasanton at 2:00 p.m. The spring wraps up inside Spartan Stadium with a game against Ajax, from the Premiere Division of the Silicon Valley Soccer Association.
