Overall, the evening was a huge success. Former major league baseball stars Mark Langston and Jim Abbott attended the event sharing inspirational stories and helping raise the bids. Mark Langston, a former all-star with the Mariners and Angels and previous Spartan great, hosted the event while his close friend Jim Abbott spoke on overcoming adversities. Abbott, an amputee, threw a no-hitter for the Yankees and also was an all-star with the Angels.

The entire evening was amazing, benefiting San Jose State University and the Spartan Foundation, while bidding off great deals on incredible packages. John Moschitta, the world’s fastest talking person from the famous Federal Express commercials was the auctioneer. His speedy tongue and stylish wit added to the evening’s success.

Once again, your contributions helped make the evening happen and on behalf of the Women’s Soccer team and the SJSU Athletic Department, we thank you for your generous donations.

Go Spartans!!!
