San Jose, Calif.—The San José State women’s gymnastics team had 10 gymnasts earn 2014 Academic Awards by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W), as announced on Tuesday, August 19.
Julia Greer and Cassandra Harrison earned the honor each of the four seasons they competed for the Spartans. Cami Guyer and Kiley Field have been honored three times, while Allison Bellingham, Jasmine Holmes, Gabrielle Kambur, Alyssa Kaschak and Adrianne Manseau have been honored the past two years. Casey Dreyer was the only Spartan freshman to receive the academic honor.
“I am very pleased to have so many great student-athletes receive this recognition,” said Spartan head coach Wayne Wright. “These honors show that we are committed to academic and athletic excellence here at San José State.”
Overall, the Spartans had 3.3240 gpa to finish 39th in the team standings.
