Incoming Freshman Gymnast Scores At National Meet

Kamloops, British Columbia (CANADA) -----Competing in the Canadian Gymnastics Championships for the second year in a row, Cassandra Harrison, who signed a National Letter-of-Intent to enroll at San Jose State University beginning in the 2010 fall semester, had two top-six finishes.

            Representing the Capital City Gymnastics Centre of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, she competed in the Senior Division, the highest level possible, and placed fifth on the vault and tied for sixth place in the balance beam in the national championships held May 25-29.

            In 2009, the incoming Spartan gymnast placed first in the floor exercise and third on the vault competing in the Open Division, the second highest level of competition.

            Harrison is one of recent high school graduates who signed a National Letter-of-Intent with the Spartan gymnastics program during the Fall 2009 signing period.
