Women's Gymnasts Honored at End of Season Banquet

San JoseSophomore Michelle Minotti was named the “Most Valuable Gymnast,” and freshman Veronica Porte was named the “Most Outstanding Gymnast at the annual San Jose State women’s gymnastics banquet on Saturday, May 6.

The 2006 team qualified for the NCAA West Regional for only the second time in school history. The team finished fourth at the regional. Three athletes received All-WAC honors Renae Moneymaker on vault, Kelsey Spellacy on bars and Veronica Porte in the all-around.
