Katie's Korner - Practice & Banquet

Katie Valleau checks in with Spartans fans on the eve of her performance at the NCAA Championships.  There will be live scoring and a live video feed on Friday.  Links are on the right.  Her session starts Friday at 6 p.m. Eastern/3 p.m. Pacific.  She will be the eighth performer in the third rotation.

Katie was also mentioned on NichiBei.org, a community news hub with a Japanese American and pan-Asian American focus.   Click here.

Katie also received the KLIV/KRTY Salute of the Day on Wednesday for her accomplishments.

It's day two in Cleveland and I'm loving every minute of it!

I had my practice this afternoon. The gym is amazing, a huge facility with tons of seating. Hopefully that means there will be a lot of fans.

Today was my first time tumbling on podium. It is similar to what they compete on in the Olympics.

I loved it! It is just you up there, all by yourself.  Everyone's eyes are on you. My practice went really well, I'm feeling very good about Friday's competition.

We also had our banquet tonight at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was an awesome venue and after dinner and the presentations, we were able to tour the museum.

That's all for tonight. Tomorrow is the big day.

Wish me luck!
