Women's Gymnastics At California Quadrangular Meet Next Sunday

The San Jose State women’s gymnastics team returns to the Bay Area this weekend for a quadrangular meet at California this Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m.  The meet will be help in Haas Pavilion on the Berkeley campus.  Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for seniors while youth, grade 12 and under, are free.

San Jose State will compete against California, UC Davis and CS Fullerton at the meet.  This will be the first time the Spartans and Bears and will have competed against each other this year, while the Spartans faced the Titans and Aggies in the first two meets of the season.

The Spartans look to continue its streak 194.000 or higher team scores.  The team has recorded a 194.000 or better in the past four meets.  The best team score of the season came against Southern Utah with a 195.325.

Leah Bigelow and Raylyn Cardeno each placed first last week at Utah State.  Bigelow won the beam with a career-best 9.850, while Cardeno tied for first on the vault with a 9.825.  The Spartans scored a 194.125 against the Aggies.
