Guyer Named MPSF Gymnast Of The Week

San Jose, Calif.—After career performances last Friday night, San Jose State women’s gymnast Cami Guyer has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week for February 9-15.

Guyer, a senior from Fall City, Wash., had a career night in the Spartans win at Sacramento State on February 13.  She won the all-around title with a career-best 39.250 and won three apparatus titles.   Guyer set a career high on the vault with a 9.825 in her win.  She tied for first with teammate Maddie Herr on the bars with a season-best 9.825, and won the floor with a 9.850.

Guyer helped lead San Jose State to a season-best 195.125 team score in the win over the Hornets.  The team score ranks as the 16th-best team score in school history.  Guyer was also part of the beam team that recorded the best score of the season with a 48.825.

The Spartans return home this Friday night for a meet against UC Davis inside The Event Center beginning at 7 p.m.
