After a victory over Sacramento State last week at Spartan Gym, the 28th-ranked San Jose State women’s gymnastics team now travels to Sacramento to face the Hornets this Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m., in the Hornets Nest. San Jose State won last week, 194.200-192.300. Lily Swann, Alise Blackwell, Thomasina Wallace and Veronica Porte each won individual titles. The Spartans have now scored a 194.000 or better the past two meets.
Swann is proving to be a force for San Jose State on the vault. She has scored a 9.800 or better in the past four meets and has won the apparatus in three of the four meets.
Among national leaders, San Jose State is 28th as a team with a 193.790 average. The vault team ranks 25th with a 48.705 average, while the bars team is 17th in the country at 48.650.
Individually, Wallace is tied for 23rd on the bars with a 9.830 average. Porte is tied for 20th on the floor at 9.850.
